ABOUT BACCI WINES

Bacci Wines represents Tuscan excellence in the world of wine, with a focus on the most renowned DOCG, DOC and IGT wines of the region: Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and Morellino di Scansano. Our mission is to bring extraordinary wines that offer a unique sensory experience to our customers, wherever they are. To achieve this vision, we have developed a collection of organic wineries, powered by sustainable energy and located in the most suitable territories of Tuscany. Our estates in Tuscany are: Castello di Bossi, Tenuta di Renieri and Barbaione in Chianti Classico. Renieri Brunello di Montalcino and Terre di Talamo on the Tuscan coast in the Morellino di Scansano denomination, the Maremma. The vineyard area owned is 250 hectares. Our production embraces a diverse range of wines: from structured reds to refined whites, from lively rosés to enveloping passitos, up to the classic method from Sangiovese grapes, Barbaione, an expression of elegance and complexity. Beyond Tuscany, Bacci Wines is also Sicily. The Terre Darrigo estate is located on the slopes of the Etna volcano in the denomination that bears the same name. The Nerello Mascalese and Carricante vineyards are planted in the black lava soil, typical of the area of the Municipality of Linguaglossa. The view extends from the top of the volcano to the sea facing Taormina. Marco Bacci's latest project takes place in Sardinia. We are in Barbagia in the Municipality of Mamojada. This is one of the very rare terroirs where phylloxera has not arrived and where the ultracentenary Cannonau vines live. We are in the middle of the Blu Zone, one of those places where people live longer. We have the fantastic combination of the place with the longest-lived vines and where people in many cases reach a century of life. Another piece of the collection is called Talamo a Mare. The first underwater cellar to mature red wine. We are in front of the Argentario promontory a few miles from where the wine is produced. The depth of 35 meters ensures an almost constant temperature all year round. The naturally soft light, together with the pressure of 4.5 bar create an ideal condition for the refinement of the wine in the bottle. Our philosophy is clear and uncompromising: to offer organic wines of the highest quality, in full respect of the environment and the winemaking tradition. We work with a strong commitment to sustainability, preserving the beauty and integrity of our territory, maintaining excellent quality standards and giving wine lovers an unparalleled tasting experience.

ABOUT MARCO BACCI

Two generations, one legacy.
Marco Bacci was born in Florence in 1959, into a family that has always been linked to Tuscany. During his first successful life in clothing, he developed a passion for wine and purchased Castello di Bossi in 1984. It became his important hobby and, alongside other activities, he developed the growth of his first company, which would later become his home. The first bottle of Corbaia from Castello di Bossi was from the 1985 vintage. For years he divided his time between various activities, but in 1998 wine became more important. It was no longer just a hobby. With the purchase of Renieri in Montalcino, he began an adventure that would lead him to be recognized as the producer of the third best wine in the world with Renieri Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2010. After three years, his 2015 Brunello di Montalcino is the second wine in the world. Passionate about nature, Marco is at ease in the air and at sea. He loves Africa and contributed to the project that saved the Black Rhinoceros from extinction. At the helm of Bacci Wines, Marco Bacci, supported by his sons, continues to pursue his goal of producing organic wines of the highest quality, respecting sustainability and winemaking excellence.
